Mongkok was my favourite haunts ,while growing up in Hong Kong, I arrived in Hong Kong ;on Feb.3rd 1954,by Cathay Pacific airlines ;a DC-# transport,bought from the ,my Dad was surprise to see us;four of us ,he had tears in his eyes.

it is like divisoria in the philippines. cheap goods, lots of shoppers. if you haven't visited zhuhai city, then this is an alternative place.
