It looks like a Puerto Rican meat pie (called a Pastel.) Made of grated bananas, plantains, yucca, and different tubers; it is then stuffed with meat and seasonings, wrapped in a plantain leaf, tied and then boiled. It's mmmmm good too! It looks just like that picture!

It looks more like one kind of Thai sweet. It's called Khao Tom Mat or sticky rice stuffed with a whole ripe banana, and then wrapped with banana a piece of leaf tied up with string and steamed.
